The clouds are here
it just might rain
but it’s not in me
to complain;

the water brings
the desert life
and helps us end
the drought and strife.

It also feeds
the thirsty plants,
the hungry bees
and working ants.

They all work
to get things done,
while we await
our day of sun.

So watch the clouds
and don’t you fret;
be happy with
the things you get.

Extras: I was inspired to put this one together when I heard a person complain about something I considered to be quite a joy. As I read through it now, I realize it may be taken as a message of complacency, but it isn’t; you should never stop pushing for your own personal success. My thoughts when I wrote this were that we shouldn’t take things for granted and that we can always consider an alternate benefit to something, even if it isn’t immediately apparent.
