Sometimes when I get behind
I take some steps to free my mind:
I focus on the task at hand
and draw a line across the sand.
Nothing else can start anew
until it’s done I must be true.
The other trick I will employ
is one I think you will enjoy…
Prioritize your catch up list
and on that order you persist.
Get things done one at a time
and you will change the paradigm.
Check things off and never dread;
stick to your plan and move ahead.

Extras: A friend of mine once asked me how to eat an elephant. The answer is “one bite at a time.” The moral is that you can get almost anything done if you focus on priorities and take it one step at a time. Don’t get too anxious, be patient, and pretty soon you’ll have that project finished. Get to it! —Cary
