Today you’re on assignment,
I’ll tell you what to do:

you have to save the planet,
and all we have is you.

The bad guys have a hostage,
and a plan to break things down,

they’re hiding in a warehouse
on the other side of town.

They’re going to cause some trouble,
they’ll try to take your mind.

Their first goal is to steal your thoughts,
And leave you nearly blind.

I have a couple things for you,
to keep you from harm’s way,

You’ll follow these instructions,
if you want to save the day:

The first one’s pretty easy,
so it’s not too difficult;

All you have to learn to do
is talk to an adult.

Some kids find this really hard,
They can’t make the approach,

so find someone you know at first;
a parent or a coach.

When you show this confidence,
the bad guys get confused,

it sends them a strong message;
that you won’t be abused.

The second thing is harder,
though it’s not so much for show;

when you’re asked to join their gang,
you have to tell them “No.”

This can be the hardest thing
you’ll ever have to say,

peers, emotion, and your pride
will all stand in your way.

But we know you can do it
even though it takes some fight;

You have to stand up for yourself,
and choose to do what’s right.

Finally, another thing,
to help you stay the course,

the team you have behind you,
is an awesome super force…

I’m talking ’bout your family,
they’re always here for you,

if you keep them in the plan,
there’s nothing you can’t do.

So get out there and save the world,
we know that you’re the one,

who’s got the skill to carry on
and get the right things done.

Use your math and science,
use technology and prose,

you’re very smart and capable;
in all you do it shows.

Leverage all your assets,
all adults and family,

say “No” when you might need to,
and pretty soon you’ll see…

The bad guys won’t be in your way
and you’ll have all you need,

to make the world a better place,
so get out there and lead.
